GES rolls out posting process for college of education graduates, check out how and when

GES director general, Dr. Eric Nkansah, has announced the first-of-its-kind posting of graduate teachers from colleges of education.

For the first time, qualified teachers will select the region, district, and school they want to be posted to and subsequently generate their appointment letters for further processing.

In a press conference today, July 4, 2024, the director revealed this to qualified graduates to begin the employment process. According to him, this initiative was taken to curb the problem of language barriers, where previously teachers were posted to communities where language became a challenge.

This will also facilitate effective learning where language will not be a barrier. Economically, it will ease them as they will be close to their families, reducing the cost of renting and other expenses.

The self-posting begins on July 5th–31st, 2024, on their portal, https://www.gespromotions.gov.gh/ . After selecting the school, applicants are to proceed to their selected region and district to continue the employment process.

The appointment letters will have QR codes for validation and also to curb fraudulent activities about fake appointments.
