In order to provide all qualified teachers enough time to finish their applications, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has declared that it will extend the deadline for the 2025 Teacher Promotion Application process.
Due to technological issues, several applicants were unable to access the portal, which was initially set to close on Friday, September 5, 2025, after opening on Monday, August 18, 2025.
GES reassured educators that their technical team is working to restore and enhance the application system in a Facebook post on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
Our ultimate goal is to make sure that all qualified teachers who are due for promotion and have held their current rank for at least four years receive the entire support they need to complete a stress-free application process.
Therefore, we urge all potential candidates to maintain composure as the technical team works hard. The statement said, “Applicants will be properly notified to proceed with their submissions as soon as the portal is restored.”
Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II, and Principal Superintendent are the four levels covered by the 2025 promotion exercise, which is exclusively available to active teachers who fulfil the eligibility requirements.
