George Afriyie, who served as Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has announced that he will be running for President of the GFA in the upcoming elections in 2023.
George Afriyie is desperate to acquire the coveted position, and he plans to make an official declaration confirming his intentions on Sunday, June 25.
George Afriyie is currently preparing for a run for the presidency once again after having competed for the role in the past but conceding defeat to the current holder of the position, Kurt Okraku.
It is anticipated that Okraku will run for re-election, which would set the stage for a tense and interesting struggle between the two contenders.

It is widely believed that Afriyie’s long experience in Ghana football will serve him well in his candidature for the presidency of the Ghana Football Association. His time as chairman of the Black Stars management committee, which was a remarkable tenure, was one of the most influential positions he has held in the numerous clubs he has been a part of.
