As January’s second pricing window begins, certain Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have raised fuel prices marginally.
Leading OMCs, notably state-owned GOIL and Shell, have already altered their gasoline and diesel pricing.
GOIL now sells petrol at GH₵15.74 per liter, up from GH₵14.99 during the first pricing window. Diesel prices have increased slightly, from GH₵15.60 to GH₵15.77 per litre.
Shell has raised petrol from GH₵15.30 per liter to GH₵15.59, and diesel from GH₵15.66 to GH₵15.79.
The higher adjustment is linked to increased global crude oil pricing and the cedi’s depreciation.
However, some OMCs have yet to change their prices. Star Oil continues to sell petrol at GH₵14.75 per liter and diesel at GH₵14.99. Total Energies has kept its petrol pricing at GH₵15.50 and diesel at GH₵15.99.
The adjustments illustrate the ongoing swings in the petroleum market, and customers are likely to experience the effects as prices fluctuate across the industry.
