Boxer Freezy MacBones has changed his nationality from Ghana to the United Kingdom (UK), according to the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), which has made this information public.
Abraham Neequaye, the President of the GBA, stated that the boxer changed his nationality immediately prior to making his professional debut.

“We communicated with him via a message. And they may verify that with Freezy himself if they want to. ” Before he competed in the United Kingdom, he came to Ghana to get a license from the Ghana Boxing Authority,” Neequaye said in an interview with Romeo TV.
“He came to acquire our license, but when he decided he wanted to fight and they wanted to get a release letter from us, he changed it so that he could fight for the British. He was meant to come to us in order to get a release letter, but he told us that he wanted to fight as a UK national instead.
Freezy Macbones had a successful career as a mason in Ghana, but after relocating to the United Kingdom, he completely reinvented himself and his life.
Since his most recent fight, in which he triumphed with a resounding knockout, he has justifiably been trending on social media. His ascension has been a paradigmatic example of the rise from obscurity to prominence.
In April, the boxer, who is now 33 years old, competed in only his second fight on a professional stage, which was an undercard match for the fight between Joe Joyce and Zhilei Zhang.
Freezy MacBones was able to utterly demolish his opponent, the veteran Darryl Sharp, who was competing at the Copper Box Arena in London.
In spite of his rough style, he was able to cruise to a victory over Sharp thanks to his hard punches and aggressive approach, which earned him a unanimous decision.
The highlights of the bout went viral on social media, and many Ghanaians praised the strong boxing technique displayed by MacBones.
In the meantime, the President of the GBA maintains that the boxing association is powerless to change the boxer’s mind if he does not wish to compete for Ghana.
“If the person has our license and he wants to fight, then he puts our license down and picks another license to fight under that license, how do you expect me to go and beg this gentleman to come?”
“If the person has our license and he wants to fight, then he puts our license down and picks another license to fight under that license.” Neequaye continued by saying that there are a lot of boxers here who need to be developed.
On June 16, Freezy Macbones is scheduled to make his next appearance inside the boxing ring.
