According to Sky Sports News lead reporter Kaveh Solhekol, Erik ten Hag has lost some of the dressing room dynamics at Manchester United as players dispute his playing style and handling of Jadon Sancho.
A number of players are losing faith in the Dutchman following United’s humiliating 1-0 loss to Newcastle on Saturday marked their tenth loss overall in the league.
Erik ten Hag has lost elements of Man Utd dressing room
According to one report, Ten Hag has lost fifty percent of the dressing room due to his inaction on the complaints raised by United’s players and Sancho’s ongoing banishment.
“Some of the guys, from what I’ve heard, don’t understand what’s going on. Some parts of the dressing room are gone for him. He’s lost about half of the dressing room, according to one source,” main reporter Solhekol stated.
Many players are dissatisfied with the way the team is playing, and they also think that the team is practicing too hard and that the team is jogging too much. It was mentioned to me that the athletes are unaware of their goals.
Gary Neville claims that after Manchester United’s dismal recent results, he has grown weary and bored of watching them.
Additionally, a few veteran players have discussed with Erik ten Hag the areas they believe the team needs improvement. They feel that the manager ought to be a little more sentimental, and they’ve told him about their previous experiences playing for major league teams.
“They think he could manage his staff a little better, but Erik ten Hag is in charge and makes all of the decisions. He should not be turned around. He will handle things in his own manner.
“I’ve also been told that a few of the players believe that he is too set in his ways and he’s too robotic.”
The continuous dispute between Erik ten Hag and Sancho, who hasn’t played for the team since August after claiming on social media that he has “been a scapegoat for a long time,” has also caused Ten Hag to lose support in the United dressing room.
“A few of the players are also unhappy at how Jadon Sancho has been treated,” said Solhekol. “He has close friends and family in the locker room, but he has been completely cut off because he won’t apologize to Erik ten Hag.
“He is eating by himself and exercising with the children. Many of the players believe that to be excessive. People that are upset are usually found in the dressing room, but their numbers increase when your team is losing.”
