Electoral Commission to release the final voter register on this date

Mrs Jean Mensa, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), has declared in an important development ahead of the forthcoming elections that the Final Voters’ Register would be accessible in the first week of November.

Made during today’s Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting, this announcement

Ensuring openness and readiness as the country prepares for its next significant election depends critically on the publication of the Voters’ Register. Early register availability will let political parties, civil society groups, and other interested parties check and fix any possible disparities.

Attending the IPAC conference, Mrs Mensa reassured attendees that the Electoral Commission is dedicated to upholding a fair, free, and legitimate voting system. She also urged every political party to work with the EC to guarantee that the final register fairly reflects the voters.

With the EC intended to answer any issues expressed throughout the voter registration process before the final list is released, this announcement follows a sequence of reforms and upgrades meant to improve the electoral process.

The emphasis will now move to the readiness of electoral players to guarantee seamless preparations for the forthcoming elections as the November release date gets near.
