An unexpected torrential downpour severely damaged the Bibiani Municipal Education Office in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai District in the Western North Region.
The rain inundated the facilities, destroying key instructional materials and equipment required for operations in the area.
Donald Acquah, the Human Resource Officer at the Bibiani Municipal Education Office, explained the scale of the losses.
He said the water harmed key educational assets such as laptops, printers, and teachers’ records.
The floodwaters also damaged important administrative documents and files, causing major delays for the office.
Mr. Acquah used the opportunity to make an appeal for assistance, pleading with authorities and benefactors to help relocate the education office to a safer, more suitable location.
He also stressed the urgent need for better infrastructure to prevent future flooding and protect educational resources in Bibiani.
