Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a former minister of finance in Ghana, has decided not to run for the presidential primaries of the NDC.
Dr. Duffuor, one of the three candidates for president, had his sights set on becoming the leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) after the party holds its presidential and parliamentary elections on May 13. These elections are slated to take place on Saturday.
The elections have been hampered by claims of bloated registration as well as several other inconsistencies.
His arguments include the fact that the party is not prepared to hold an election that is free and fair.
