Rojo Mettle-Nunoo, a former Deputy Health Minister and a member of Dr. Kwabena Duffuor’s campaign team, has stated that Dr. Kwabena Duffuor is the ideal man to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) into the general elections of 2024. This statement was made by Rojo Mettle-Nunoo.

On Thursday, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor arranged for someone else to pick up the nomination forms that he needed from the headquarters of the NDC in Accra.

During an interview with Eyewitness News, Mr. Mettle-Nunoo stated that the only person who has the capability of pulling Ghana out of the economic disaster it is now in is Dr. Duffuor.

“The current issues of governance in the country border on leadership as well as on the aspirations of Ghanaians and protecting the vulnerable, and I have a deep-seated belief that Dr. Kwabena Duffour is the best person to achieve that.”

According to the former lead witness for the National Democratic Congress’ election petition, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor’s track record put him ahead of all of the other contestants in the party’s battle for the position of flagbearer.

“Because of his track record as Governor of the Bank of Ghana as well as previous roles he had inhabited, Rawlings placed his trust in him and appointed him as his Finance Minister.”

As Minister of Finance, Mills also acknowledged him, and as a result of his intellect, the Mills government never borrowed money from any other external source.

“Duffuor is a man of integrity, and he is the man that the grassroots of the NDC and Ghana need now,” said one member of the opposition party.

Duffuor  is logical when it comes to economics, and he is logical when it comes to macroeconomics… Dr. Kwabena Duffuor is the best person to lead Ghana out of its economic problems and into a better future.

M. Mettle-Nunoo continued, “the grassroots know his calibre and know his talents, and once he gets the nod, he will change the economic fortunes of the country.”
