The family of the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu, known as Daddy Lumba, has announced a candlelight vigil to honour the late music star.

The event, arranged in partnership with the Creative Arts Agency, is set to take place in Independence Square in Accra on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.

Furthermore, the family has stated that Daddy Lumba’s Book of Condolence will be opened on Tuesday, July 29th, at his private property on Kinshasha Crescent, House Number 12 (GA-332-9264), from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., every day.

In a statement signed by their lawyer on July 27th, the family extended their heartfelt gratitude to all well-wishers, friends, colleagues, fans, and the general public for their outpouring of love, prayers, and support following the death of their beloved Daddy Lumba.

The family also emphasised the importance of continuing to respect their privacy as they mourned their loss while encouraging everyone to celebrate Daddy Lumba’s exceptional life and lasting impact. Further information about the final funeral arrangements will be released to the public in due time.

Daddy Lumba’s death was revealed on Saturday, July 26th, following a short illness, sending the general public, particularly his admirers and the entertainment community, into grief.
