Hayford Kofi Boadi, a 25-year-old church secretary, was arrested for allegedly embezzling church funds.
According to the New Crusading Guide, the suspect took GHS 300,000 from church finances to pay for his LGBT partner’s college education.
The arrest was conducted on suspicion of financial violations.

During interrogation, Boadi, who is married with children, admitted to using the money to help his partner, who was having financial troubles.
In addition to funding the lover’s education, he spent some of the money on travel expenses to arrange their relocation to Canada to escape any potential scandal surrounding their connection.
