Following the devastation caused by the earthquake in Turkey 12 days ago, the two representatives of Christian Atsu have verified that the player’s body was found on Saturday morning.
After an earlier confirmation by Murat Uzunmehmet a few hours earlier, Nana Sechere issued a statement early on Saturday morning, following up on the earlier confirmation.
“It is with the saddest of feelings that I have to report to all well-wishers that unfortunately Christian Atsu’s body was recovered this morning,” Sechere posted on Twitter. “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to announce that Christian Atsu’s body was recovered this morning.”
“Please accept my most sincere sympathies on behalf of his family and loved ones. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been praying for us and for their support.”
During this extremely trying time, I would ask that everyone respect the privacy of the family so that we can get the proper arrangements made. Thank you for your consideration.
