Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ ranked world’s most shazammed song of 2023 Published

Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, is a Nigerian musician who has released a blockbuster song called “Calm Down.” This song has been listed as the most shazammed song of 2023 across the world.

Because it was the first African song to reach the top spot on the Global Shazam Year-End list, the song created history.

“Calm Down” was able to accomplish this achievement by surpassing the songs “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus and “Bloody Mary” by Lady Gaga, which were placed second and third, respectively.

 

In the meantime, the remix of “Calm Down,” starring Selena Gomez, has been recognised as the twelveth most streamed song in the world on Apple Music in 2023.

On Apple Music, it is currently ranked as the 45th most streamed song of 2023 in the United States.

Additionally, Rema holds the record for the most appearances by an African artist on the year-end charts of Billboard magazine in 2023, with 34. These appearances include entries on the year-end charts, airplay, albums, and song charts alike.
