Former Asante Akim North MP Andy Appiah-Kubi has expressed his support for former Agriculture Minister and current Abetifi MP Dr. Bryan Acheampong as the best choice to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into the future.
He referred to Dr. Acheampong as a “symbol of victory.”
Speaking to journalists in a video obtained by Citi News on Sunday, May 25, Appiah-Kubi stressed the necessity for the party to produce a strong candidate capable of revitalising the NPP and winning elections.
“Our task is to present a great candidate who can redeem our party, NPP, and Dr. Bryan Acheampong is preparing himself for that mission,” he told journalists.
Appiah-Kubi also emphasised Dr. Acheampong’s academic ability and business expertise as essential characteristics that make him an ideal candidate for leadership.
“If we’re looking for an intellectually gifted individual, Bryan is the one. If we want a successful business mogul, he is it. “So with him, we’re killing two birds with one stone,” he said.
Dr. Bryan Acheampong, who now represents Abetifi in Parliament, has emerged as a strong candidate for the NPP’s flagbearer role.
