Today, approximately 569,095 candidates will take the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) at 2,123 specially designated examination centers around the nation.
Monday, July 15, 2024, is the last day of exams.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) administration commended the candidates for their diligence and tenacity in a statement released on Sunday, July 7. The statement was signed by Casandra Twum Ampofo.
In addition, GES conveyed its appreciation to educators, basic school heads, directors of education, parents, guardians, and other relevant parties for their vital contributions to the applicants’ exam preparation.
“Candidates, invigilators, supervisors, school authorities, teachers, and parents are advised to avoid any form of examination malpractice. GES, WAEC, and the security services are working jointly to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations at all centres across the country,” the statement said.
It also informed parents, candidates, and the general public that the school selection process will commence after the BECE, with details to be communicated in due course.
