Former Ghana international Asamoah Gyan believes the National Democratic Congress (NDC) should be explicit about their 24-hour economy policy because it is not a ‘new’ thing.
According to Gyan, several areas of the country have already implemented a similar program, encouraging the newly elected government to commit to enhancing it.
The policy was one of the NDC’s campaign planks, and it played a significant part in their return to power during the next four years.
Gyan, during an Instagram live session on Thursday, January 2, questioned the policy’s genuine goals.
“It already exists.” “Police stations, hospitals, and filling stations already operate 24 hours a day,” he stated.
“If the government says ’24-hour economy,’ they should work to improve it. “This is not a new policy.”
Before deciding to leave politics, Gyan was picked to be a member of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team for the 2024 general election.
