Meek Mill, a super star rapper from the United States, has stated that he would be in Ghana in order to play at the Afronation festival.
The news was made by the rapper a few hours ago on his channel on the video-sharing website YouTube.
Meek Mill, a rap superstar who is the first American to join the bill and will be making his first major appearance in Africa, is scheduled to perform on the 29th of December alongside Tiwa Savage, P-Square, Kuami Eugene, Gyakie, Oxlade, and other artists. This performance will mark Meek Mill’s first major appearance in Africa.
Other musicians that are scheduled to perform at the event include Davido, Stonebwoy, P-Square, Rema, Black Sherif, CKay, Gyakie, Camidoh, KiDi, and Asake, amongst a great number of others.
This highly anticipated next edition of Afro Nation is set to follow up the 2019 milestone African premiere in grand fashion. This African festival will provide financial support to local teams so that they can put on the performance.
Additionally, it will result in increased business for the maximum number of local vendors, which will have a good effect on Ghana’s cultural and tourism sector.
Over the course of two days, the event will not only play host to renowned artists from across the global diaspora, but it will also provide fans with an opportunity to rekindle their connections with the continent and the cultures that have been influential in the formation of the music, the arts, and the identities of so many people all over the world.
The event is slated to feature performances by a remarkable variety of today’s most popular musicians from from Africa and the diaspora. The organizers of the festival have already announced some of the headliners for this year’s iteration of the event.
In addition to this, Afro Nation Ghana will play host to all of the most prominent Amapiano artists, such as Major League DJz, Uncle Waffles, Kamo Mphela, and Scorpion Kings. These artists are responsible for exporting the hottest sounds coming out of the South African underground to the rest of the world.
This year’s Afro Nation event comes on the heels of the phenomenally popular Portugal beach festival that took place earlier this summer and the very first concert in the United States that took place in Puerto Rico back in March.
Afro Nation Ghana will welcome thousands of people from around the worldwide diaspora who were flying home to celebrate the turn of the new year with friends and family in West Africa’s most vibrant cultural center.
