The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) management has requested that all staff not report to work on Monday, February 24, 2025.
According to management, this is due to outstanding legal and administrative employment and payroll payment concerns.
This was stated in a news release published by NEIP on Friday, February 21.
Following considerable efforts to settle concerns about staff employment, management determined that the intricacy and legal ramifications of these issues preclude the use of operating money to provide monthly staff allowances.
As a result, it noted that all employment matters must be handled through the correct legal channels to avoid further complications.
According to the statement, until these difficulties are resolved, only certain employees whose services are necessary may be summoned back to work.
Furthermore, all staff in possession of NEIP property must return it to the HR Officer by the end of business on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
“Failure to do so will be considered as deliberate stealing of such items,” the statement added.
Management has assured employees that updates would be provided as efforts continue to remedy the situation.
