The Ashanti Regional Police have initiated an investigation into the strange death of Emmanuel Agyie Baffour, also known as ‘Atom De Morale Spirit’, a second-year visual arts student at Mampong Technical College of Education.
His body was discovered about a month after he was reported missing, during a school holiday.
The 22-year-old student, also known as ‘Atom De Morale Spirit’ on social media, rose to prominence for his enthusiastic performances and explosive ‘Jama’ musical displays at college events, as well as his TikTok antics.
His classmates had anticipated seeing him when school resumed. However, his lifeless body was apparently discovered in a thicket at Jachie Pramso, under circumstances that have yet to be elucidated by authorities.
The news of Atom’s unexpected passing has shocked and saddened relatives, coworkers, friends, and a burgeoning internet following, with many flocking to social media to offer cherished memories and tributes.
“Oh, legend of happiness, joy, and comfort, may God Almighty use you and your companion to save some of us. May your sweet soul rest in perfect peace in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen,” Blessing, a TikTok user, wrote.
Police say an investigation is continuing to determine the circumstances behind his abduction and subsequent death.
