Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian dancehall artiste, has openly recommended King Promise as his candidate for the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year.
In a video uploaded online, the two artists rode in a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, with Shatta Wale brazenly supporting the “Favourite Story” singer.
As the camera focused on them, Shatta Wale said, “That’s my artist of the year.
After missing out on the coveted prize at last year’s ceremony, King Promise has increased his attempts to capture the prestigious Artiste of the Year title.
Tilly Akua Nipaa, a media personality, was recently appointed as the official spokesperson for the “Terminator” hitmaker’s awards campaign.
Subsequently, Nipaa has been active in the media, challenging the representation of other artists and vigorously advocating for King Promise’s victory.
The 2025 TGMA event is slated on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.
While King Promise is widely regarded as the favourite, he will face stiff opposition from the reigning artist of the year, Stonebwoy, emerging talent King Paluta, Black Sherif, and others.
